LIFESTYLE MUSINGS: A Picnic at the river @ MacRitchie Reservoir

To find the beautiful, you must have it within you or you will find it not. ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Tranquility was only a distance away.
A revisit to childhood nostalgia.
A short adventure with the monkey people.
Great feedback to the picnic menu I prepared – satisfaction.
Good food is crucial and always a highlight.
Another weekend well spent, and appreciation to moment of quiet and peace.

P.S If you haven’t realised, when you are perched right on the waters, extended away from land. Stare out at the quiet moving waters.
You’d feel like you’re on a riverboat.
Love moments like that.

It had been good to revisit childhood nostalgia.

MacRitchie Reservoir is definitly going through changes. And whilst we did not manage to walk through the entire vicinity.

We had managed a very eventful start to the picnic, with a visit from th monkeys (They smelled food)!

I remember, how we used to get really excited as children when we meet these monkey people :)

And feeding them with Oranges, it used to be the highlight on trips to the reservoir.

What I apprecited most was, the change in the weather. First from a seemingly dull and grey late afternoon, to an evening of beautiful sunset.

And the location we picked, a viewing sheltered, extended out to the reservoir. Which had offered a superb view of the winding reservoir. Away from the park and people.

Bliss~

Food has to be a highlight. It feeds the people, and also lightens up the mood.

I made sure there is an array of colours and variety of food to choose from.

Being close to nature has always been something I appreciate alot living in Singapore.

Having a family who enjoys the same things is a great thing.

it reminds me, that there is much more in life to look forward to than the material.
